McDonald’s cheeseburger hack on TikTok divides internet

Just when you thought fast food menu hacks couldn’t get any weirder, TikTok has delivered a combo that has left millions of fast-food lovers utterly divided.

A viral video posted by popular food creator @theangelfoodie shows her taking a standard, golden McDonald’s triple cheeseburger and dipping it directly into a cup of ice-cold Coca-Cola before taking a bite.

The video — which has racked up thousands of views and triggered heated arguments across social media — shows the soft burger bun absorbing the fizzy soda before being consumed without hesitation.

The video captioned, “Don’t knock it til you try it.”

As expected, a huge chunk of the internet responded with immediate horror.

Dipping a cheeseburger into a soft drink creates a bizarre, shocking mix of hot, salty beef and sweet, fizzy cold liquid.

Most people find the taste very strange, while a daring few enjoy the wild contrast.

While the video caught the attention of millions, McDonald’s chimed in, with a surprising comment on the ‘hack’: “Just why.”

Fast-food traditionalists argued that this wild concoction should not be allowed, claiming the creator has “lost the plot.”

“As a McDonald’s employee … I’m sorry no,” one person wrote on TikTok.

“I’m not falling for this,” a second commented.

“No way, I couldn’t ruin my soda, much less a cheeseburger lol,” echoed a third.

“That’s nasty as hell,” another expressed.

Many people revealed that after watching the video, their day or night was “ruined”.

Even popular fast-food restaurant chain Arby’s, famous for its roast beef sandwiches and curly fries, chimed in, writing, “let’s rethink this burger situation”.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, of MTV’s hit 2009 series “Jersey Shore”, also expressed her thoughts on the trend.

“I’m down for anything, but I don’t think this,” Snooki wrote.

While the video has inspired some people to try the combination at their local McDonald’s, a surprisingly vocal group of adventurous eaters jumped to defend the bizarre combination, intrigued by the mixture.

“It’s …. actually … … decent,” one person claimed.

“Trying this today,” another commented.

“I mean, if you think about it, you take a bite of the burger then drink the pop to wash it down, so this really ain’t any different,” a third pointed out.

“Nah gang that looks good,” a fourth expressed.

Whether it’s an accidental culinary breakthrough or an unholy creation that should never be repeated, one thing is certain: the boundary-pushing world of TikTok fast food hacks isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
