EXCLUSIVE: Richard Bacon‘s Yes Yes Media has struck a first-look formats deal with Keshet International-owned German label Tresor.
The Real Housewives of Munich producer, which has previously tied with MGM and CJ ENM, will be handed an exclusive window on all new non-scripted formats developed by Yes Yes, which is backed by a consortium including Sister, France’s Satisfaction, Courtney Cox and the guitarist from Snow Patrol. Tresor and Yes Yes have already started collaborating as part of the deal between Keshet International and Arthur Essebag’s Satisfaction, which was struck earlier this year.
Tresor, which also makes I Can See Your Voice, Masters of Dance and Wer isses?, is no stranger to first-look deals. It has also partnered with MGM Television’s global formats division, which spawned WDR’s Generation Gap and RTLZWEI’s Skate Fever, and Korean powerhouse CJ ENM, birthing adaptations of I Can See Your Voice and 300: War of United Voices. Both the MGM and CJ deals have run down.

Yes Yes’ debut commission is UKTV’s Dermot O’Leary-hosted Silence is Golden, in which the audience must remain silent to keep £250,000 ($320,000) as they are goaded by comedians, celebrity guests and entertainers.
Tresor MD Axel Kühn said Yes Yes is “completely aligned with us and what we do in Germany, where Tresor is always at the forefront of TV trends.” “I’m really excited at the prospect of working with Richard and his team to develop some of their formats for our broadcast partners here in Germany,” he added.
Bacon said: “At Yes Yes we like to push the boundaries of what’s possible in entertainment, developing big original entertainment formats – and formats that integrate our innovative proprietary technology, to create emotionally engaging, culturally relevant productions.”
