It’s been almost three months since we’ve seen Becky Lynch in WWE.
The last time The Man made a television appearance was when she lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring on May 25, 2024.
Since then, Lynch has remained fairly quiet, with many fans assuming she had retired from the sport. The Lass Kicker furthered this belief when she shared a black and white picture of herself with her daughter on her Instagram page along with a statement about her A&E WWE Legends Special:
“It’s been a helluva career. Being the Man for all of you was an honor, being the mom for her is a privilege. Thanks for watching my bio on [A&E].”
Now, Lynch has spoken out again, hinting that her WWE career may not yet be over.
During an appearance on the Games With Names podcast, host Julian Edelman asked Lynch how things were going away from the world of sports entertainment.
“It’s great. It’s great. Everything is great,” Lynch said. “I have my wonderful little family. I have many options on the table. I get to, for the first time in a long time, get to take a breath to appreciate everything.
“When you’re on the road 52 weeks a year, non-stop, going from town to town to town, and in the last three years I added to the chaos by having a daughter, who I would bring everywhere with me. On top of that, I decided it would be good to write my biography. For the last year or two, it was pure chaos.
“Now, I’m taking a little bit more time. I’m taking a breath. Getting to look around the world. Getting to look at what I created and evaluate everything. It’s been wonderful.”
While this isn’t a confirmation of a return, it does feel like Lynch isn’t quite done yet. After she’s done taking a breath, it would be great to see her back in the ring again.
Lynch began her wrestling career in 2002 before eventually signing a contract with WWE in 2013. After performing in NXT for a bit, she made her main roster debut on July 13, 2015.
Since then, Lynch has won the NXT Women’s Championship, the WWE Raw Women’s Championship (now the WWE Women’s Championship) twice, the Women’s World Championship five times, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Lynch also holds the honor of winning the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania. She also won the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2019 and is the sixth and most recent Women’s Grand Slam Champion.
Needless to say, Lynch is a once in a generation talent. Hopefully, fans will get to see Big Time Becks in action again some day.
