The cinematic utopia of Pandora is coming to California.
During D23’s Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that a new attraction inspired by the Avatar franchise is coming to Disneyland.
Although Disney World’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida already boast its own Pandora—The World of Avatar based on James Cameron‘s original 2009 movie, the new Anaheim attraction will draw inspiration from Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and future installments.
Imagineer Ali Rubin revealed concept art of the upcoming attraction, which will take guests “on the adventure of a lifetime in search of majestic natural wonders that can only be found on Pandora and the beauty – and danger – that come along with the journey. This new and thrilling excursion will bring all the action, excitement, and wonder of Avatar, taking guests all the way to the wide-open seas of Pandora.”

The announcement comes after Cameron revealed the title of the upcoming third movie will be Avatar: Fire and Ash during Friday’s D23 presentation, in which he was accompanied by stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña ahead of the movie’s Dec. 19, 2025 premiere.
