A young man’s lifeless body was found floating in the Harlem River Sunday morning, cops said.
The body of the unidentified man – believed to be in his 20s – was discovered just after 9:30 a.m., when authorities responded to a 911 call for an unconscious male, spotted facedown in the river near East 106th Street, police said.
The NYPD’s Harbor Unit removed the body from the water, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The city Medical Examiner’s Office will officially determine the man’s cause of death, authorities said.
The discovery was made two days after an unidentified woman was discovered floating in the East River, near East 23rd Street, at around 10:50 a.m. Friday, authorities said.
That body was initially discovered further uptown, on the Upper East Side, and apparently drifted downtown, cops said.
The woman’s identity was still unknown Sunday, as the investigation continued, police said.
