MAGA loyalists expressed outrage Friday over Fox News anchor Sandra Smith’s interview with former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, a Democrat.
They spoke about tariffs, President Donald Trump’s second administration, and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Social media users attacked Smith for what they characterized as inadequate pushback against Buttigieg.
X user RepubFrank wrote, “Sandra Smith is terrible at interviewing. She allowed Pete Buttigieg to spew lies, walk all over her and spin her questions. She was completely outmatched by one of the worst candidates on the left. Between her and Turner, not sure if I’m watching CNN or Fox.”
Maria Tambasco demanded, “Why aren’t you defending President Trump and his policies with this idiot Pete Buttigieg and allowing him to speak lies !!!! Your not even interrupting him once !!!!”
Sherry Cappello asked, “Why is Sandra Smith not pushing back on Pete Buttigieg?”
SirGern critiqued, “Disgusting tongue bath for 20 minutes. Nice objectivity @SandraSmithFox.”
The backlash reflects broader MAGA frustration with media coverage perceived as favorable to Democratic figures.
