Chaos erupted at John F. Kennedy International Airport Wednesday morning as a fire in an escalator filled a terminal with smoke and forced hordes of travelers to be evacuated.
The fire broke out around 7 a.m. inside Terminal 8, causing the building to become smokey, the FDNY told The Post.
Chaotic footage shared with the Citizen App showed police and firefighters responding to the terminal as hordes of passengers with luggage crowded around the airport’s entrances and a fire alarm blares.
The terminal was evacuated due to the smoke condition inside, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
