Another Kennedy tied the knot.
On Saturday, Mariah Kennedy Cuomo married her longtime partner Tellef Lundevall, who quarantined with the Cuomo family in 2020.
Kennedy Cuomo, 29, is Andrew Cuomo and Kerry Kennedy’s middle child and the CEO of Socrates Social. Cuomo and Kerry, who were married from 1990 to 2005, also share Kennedy Cuomo’s older twin sister, Cara, and their youngest, Michaela.
Kerry is Ethel and Robert F. Kennedy’s seventh child, so Kennedy Cuomo counts Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Chris Cuomo as her uncles.
Kennedy Cuomo detailed the wedding in a new interview with Vogue.
A very Kennedy wedding
Kennedy Cuomo and Lundevall tied the knot at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, as many of her relatives have.
Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger got married in Hyannis in 1986, and Sarah Kennedy, Chris Kennedy’s daughter, got married at the compound in August 2023.
Kennedy Cuomo and Lundevall exchanged vows outside, overlooking the Nantucket Sound in front of 400 guests, as the bride told Vogue. Her father walked her down the aisle.
According to Vogue, the couple said their vows under a custom chuppah, which featured flowers from not only the US but also Ireland, Norway, and Italy, where their families are from. The outlet also reported that Kennedy Cuomo’s sisters were her co-maids of honor.
The bride wore a Vera Wang gown to the wedding, as she told Vogue. The strapless dress featured lace detailing on the bodice and a full skirt, while Lundevall chose a navy suit and gray tie.
In addition to her wedding gown, Kennedy Cuomo changed into a Clio Peppiatt minidress for their after-party. The celestial dress is a white version of the one Taylor Swift — who dated the bride’s cousin Conor Kennedy in 2012 — wore on her birthday in December 2023. It retails for $1,943.
According to Vogue, the couple’s reception took place under a tent at the JFK house. The reception included an eight-tier wedding cake, which, as the bride told the outlet, was a nod to Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s wedding cake. In one photo, Kennedy Cuomo stands on a ladder to cut it.
Kerry also shared a video of the bride and groom sitting in chairs during the traditional hora, grinning at each other throughout the experience.
In another video, Kerry herself got on a chair, highlighting that the event was a family affair.
