Zachary Levi‘s Disney prince days are behind him, but he has some ideas of who could wear his crown.
The actor, who can be seen in Harold and the Purple Crayon on August 2, suggested who should play his character Flynn Rider in a potential live-action adaptation of the 2010 Disney animated movie Tangled as he admitted he’s “a little old” to slip back into the character.
“I mean, he’s already getting every other job but probably Timothée Chalamet?” Levi told ET. “Unfortunately I feel like I’m a little old — and that I don’t know all of the younger actors that could be that guy.”
A retelling of the Brothers Grimm’s Rapunzel, Mandy Moore voiced the princess, who blackmails wanted thief Flynn to escort her to the kingdom to see the floating lanterns in time for her 18th birthday.
“I think it would be fun if Mandy and I got to be Rapunzel’s parents. I think that would be a really fun little cameo for us to pop in to,” added Levi.
Levi said “it’s wonderful” seeing fans of the movie campaign for a live-action adaptation, which Disney has yet to announce. “I’m so proud of that movie I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of it,” he said.
Although he and Moore reprised their voice roles for the “really fun” 2017-2020 Disney Channel animated series Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, Levi was “bummed that we never got a sequel” to the original movie.
“Now that there’s talks of doing this live-action — I think it’s awesome, and I look forward to, you know, seeing how well that comes together,” added Levi.
