Dance Moms alum Christi Lukasiak was arrested for a DUI that occurred on June 27.
According to documents secured by TMZ, a telephone pole was left “hanging over” Christi’s vehicle after she crashed into a tree in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, late last month. Per the outlet, the police claimed that Christi’s breath smelled like alcohol, her speech was “slurred,” and her eyes were “bloodshot and glassy.”
Citing the documents, the outlet reports that Christi confessed to drinking two glasses of wine prior to driving, and was administered a preliminary breath test, which was positive.
According to Page Six, Christi is slated for a preliminary hearing in court on Aug. 13.
Decider reached out to Christi’s legal representative for comment, but did not hear back by time of publication.
As the mother of former Abby Lee Dance Company member Chloe Lukasiak, Christi was one of the OG dance moms featured on the Lifetime reality series.
Christi made a remote appearance in Lifetime’s Dance Moms: The Reunion, which aired in May. The reunion special was followed by Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns, a ten-episode-long compilation show hosted by Christi. Ahead of the premiere, Chloe told DECIDER how she felt about her mother revisiting the show.
“Oh, she’s great at what she does,” she noted. “She’s so witty, and she has all of these great sound bytes, so I’m sure it’s going to be phenomenal. It’s going to be epic.”
A Dance Moms spinoff, titled Dance Moms: A New Era, was recently announced by Hulu , spotlighting dance coach Glo Hampton and her dance school, Studio Bleu.
