Unsolved Mysteries is almost back for Season 4, and as its trailer teases, it’s sure to make a killing.
Unsolved Mysteries first premiered as a Netflix reboot in 2020, and aims to reopen and solve cold cases of real disappearances, shocking murders and paranormal encounters.
The newly released trailer teases the contents of the five cases Volume 4 will cover. This season of the popular docuseries will contain five 50-minute episodes, each trying to solve a new cold case.
When the teaser first begins, viewers hear a woman say, “I dreamed of solving a case like this. I would be lying if I said it didn’t keep me up certain nights. I did become a little bit obsessed with it.”
The footage then cuts to an EMT tending to a clearly distraught man in socks on his porch.
“There are still unanswered questions with this case,” a man says, as viewers see someone analyzing crime scene photos, before the footage cuts to a shot of a bloody concrete floor.
“This case is solvable, and it will be solved,” viewers hear the first woman say, over an image of a woman lying dead on a stage.
“Why is a severed head sitting in a field?” a man then asks.
The audio cuts while a shot of Jack The Ripper’s signature on his infamous letter is shown to viewers, an obvious tease that his case will be an integral one in the upcoming season.
“Jack The Ripper frightened people in a way no killer had ever done before,” another subject says, as a woman explains, “He moves the curtain, and sees this horrific sight,” while viewers see footage of a boy walking on the beach, which immediately cuts to him being found laying in the sand, unmoving.
While the trailer successfully left viewers with even more questions heading into this season, they made one thing abundantly clear — there will be unexplained deaths, baffling disappearances, and bizarre paranormal activity coming viewers’ way at the end of the month.
Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 4 premieres on Netflix on July 31.
