EXCLUSIVE: The D’Amelio family are no longer going to be sharing their lives on Hulu.
The D’Amelio Show, which has run for three seasons on the Disney-backed streamer, will not be returning for a fourth season.
Deadline understands that Hulu decided against a fourth season of the show, a move supported by the family, who have over 225M followers on TikTok.
It comes after season three of the show aired last fall. “I’m at a point in my life where I really want to figure out how to balance my work life a little bit more,” Charli D’Amelio said in the show’s finale, while her sister Dixie was facing her own medical issues.
The show followed Charli, Dixie and their parents Heidi and Marc as they navigate their new found fame.
When it first launched in 2021, the show was Hulu’s most-watched unscripted series among all first-season reality shows.
Charli D’Amelio, who is the second most-followed person on TikTok, won Dancing with the Stars in 2022 and fronted the Prada Linear Rossa fall/winter 2022 campaign. Dixie D’Amelio released her first single, Be Happy, in 2020 and later signed a record deal with L.A. Reid’s HitCo Entertainment.
The pair have a slew of endorsement deals including with Dunkin’ Donuts and a fragrance line with Ulta Beauty.
Their focus now is on D’Amelio Brands, which includes D’Amelio Footwear, skincare brand ZitsAllright and fan merchandise company Dam Fam Merch as well as their own venture capital firm focused on minority- and women-owned businesses. The family are speaking about all of this at Vidcon later this week.
The D’Amelio Show was produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. Sara Reddy was showrunner and exec produced with Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman and Esther Frank.
