Since the beginning of June a number of products sold around the United States have been recalled either by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) at the Department of Agriculture.
Products impacted included hedgehot food produced by Vitakraft Sun Seed Inc., which was withdrawn by the manufacturer in cooperation with the FDA on June 22, along with four flavors of Abilyn’s Frozen Bakery Ice Cream Cakes which were removed by supermarket chain Wegmans.
The FDA also announced New Seasons Market LLC was recalling its Strawberry Rhubarb Bakewell Tart due as they were found to contain almonds that weren’t declared on the packaging.
