Ousted former Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade has opened up about his controversial sexual relationship with Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis — insisting in a cringeworthy and suggestive interview that “I did my job.”
The ex-special prosecutor was peppered with racy questions during a bizarre appearance on “The Daily Show” on Tuesday as comedian Marlon Wayans — who was playing a Borat-style character named Quon — mocked his romance with Willis.
“DA Willis is a respectable mother, a brilliant legal mind. We spent countless hours preparing this case, investigating this case,” Wade told the fictional host towards the beginning of the interview.
As Wade continued to answer questions, Quon repeatedly interjected to make provocative remarks about the pair’s romantic affiliation, which blossomed as they were preparing for the historic prosecution of the 77-year-old ex-president and his co-defendants in a sprawling racketeering case.
“I see how it happened, countless hours, and I need a foot rub, you know what I mean, and she rub your foot,” the host said at one point, adding, “And I’m like, ‘Hey let me give you a massage,’ and all of a sudden, boom boom, we up on this desk. Man.”
“No. Not even close. Not even close,” Wade responded.
“How can you not hit that?! How can you not?!” Quon said as the former special prosecutor laughed. “We spending that much time together, we doing everything, we might as well,” the fictional host added.
After insisting that Willis was “more analogous to a client” rather than a boss, Quon fired back, “So you served her well?”
“I did. I did my job,” Wade responded.
In response to Wade saying the DA’s office had interviewed several other people for his position on the case, Quon went on to make several sexual poses for the camera as he asked, “What position was it? Did that position look like this? Or this?”
The former special prosecutor was forced to resign from the Trump case back in February after news of his intimate relationship with Willis emerged and was heavily scrutinized.
Wade was hired by Willis to lead the Trump probe investigation on Nov. 1, 2021 — one day before he filed for divorce from his wife.
During a series of public hearings examining whether their relationship was a conflict of interest, Wade testified that their tryst started “around March” 2022 and ended in June or July 2023.
He was adamant that he’d had no personal or intimate relationship with the embattled DA prior to being brought on the Trump case.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ultimately ruled that Willis could remain on the case as long as her former lover stepped down.
Since then, Wade has given a slew of TV interviews about the pair’s relationship.
The latest appearance, however, was widely ripped on social media — with many slammed Wade for not taking the saga more seriously.
“This is gross. Nathan Wade should be embarrassed,” reacted constitutional law professor Anthony Michael Kreis tweeted. “And Fani Willis, whatever her mistakes, deserves better than this. As do the people of Fulton County.”
