Netflix was founded almost 30 years ago now, but the company today looks almost nothing like it did back then. Just like streaming and original content long ago replaced the DVD business, for example, Netflix in the last few years has broken with almost every one of its other long-held orthodoxies — introducing everything from ads to live events, video games, and its own cinemas, in addition to choosing the two cities that will host permanent Netflix House shopping and entertainment complexes starting in 2025.
The latter will open at King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas in 2025, the streaming giant announced today. If you’ve been to an experiential space like Area15 in Las Vegas, that’s what these giant Netflix complexes kind of sound like. “At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” says Marian Lee, Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“We’ve launched more than 50 experiences in 25 cities, and Netflix House represents the next generation of our distinctive offerings. The venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways.”
It’s another step back into the physical world for the company, which has spent a few decades asserting its dominance as an online entertainment giant. As for what patrons can actually expect at Netflix house, the company describes the venues this way: Imagine competing in a real-life version of Squid Game’s Glass Bridge challenge, after which you and a partner waltz to an orchestral Taylor Swift cover on a replica of the Bridgerton set.

You can also grab a bite to eat at a restaurant with food inspired by Netflix shows, and then buy Stranger Things merch like a Hellfire Club T-shirt.
That’s Netflix House, a permanent venue that will take over two former department store locations of more than 100,000 square feet in Dallas and King of Prussia starting next year. “That fan fever dream will soon become a reality with the opening of Netflix House, an experiential entertainment venue that will bring some of our most beloved titles to life,” Netflix explains.
“Building on previous Netflix live experiences for Bridgerton, Money Heist, Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Netflix Bites, Netflix House will go one step further and create an unforgettable venue to explore your favorite Netflix stories and characters beyond the screen year-round.”
