Chewbacca and Darth Vader have arrived in Fortnite as part of the Star Wars Day update for Chapter 5 Season 2.
If you want to find these characters, as well as groups of stormtroopers and various Star Wars weaponry, you’ll want to seek out Imperial Roadblocks, which are dotted across the map.
Though Chewbacca’s location is somewhat random, Darth Vader is more of a fixed spawn — meaning you can put more of your energy towards besting him in battle.
This page explains how to find the various Star Wars additions in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
Where to find Chewbacca, the Wookie Bowcaster, and stormtroopers in Fortnite
Imperial Roadblocks are the main addition to the map as part of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2’s Star Wars update, where you’ll find stormtroopers and Imperial Chests.
It’s at Imperial Roadblocks where you can find two Star Wars-themed weapons: the E-11 Blaster (dropped from downed stormtroopers) and the Wookie Bowcaster (a rare drop from chests or somewhere within the Imperial Roadblock.)
Meanwhile, Chewbacca will located at one Imperial Roadblock at random, with his location changing every match. Once freed, he’ll gift you a Wookie Bowcaster, and will then follow you as a companion as you continue the match.
Chewbacca and Imperial Roadblock locations map
You can see the Imperial Roadblock locations in Fortnite on the following map. Here is where you’ll find stormtrooper spawns, and at one random location per match, Chewbacca’s location:
As well as the above, there is one additional location where you’ll find stormtroopers, and a certain other iconic Star Wars character…
Where to find Darth Vader’s location in Fortnite
Darth Vader is located to the west of the small island to the very north:
Here you’ll find another stormtrooper camp, and the addition of Darth Vader roaming around. Once defeated in battle, you’ll get your hands on Vader’s iconic lightsaber to then be wielded in battle.
In our experience, this is a popular location that draws in a lot of other players, making it a double-edged sword (or should that be lightsaber?). This can be helpful for collectively taking down Darth Vader and his entourage of stormtroopers, but means you then have to fight other players over the lightsaber that drops.
