Nick Reiner still has support from one of his closest relatives.

Rob Reiner’s sister, Annie Reiner, has remained by her nephew’s side since he was charged in connection with the December 2025 murders of the filmmaker and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, a source told Page Six exclusively.

“Annie has been supportive of Nick throughout the legal proceedings,” the insider said. “Despite the circumstances surrounding the case, she has remained in his corner and her presence has meant a great deal to him.”

Representatives for the Reiner family did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The revelation comes as concerns grow over Nick’s condition behind bars at Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Correctional Facility, where he has remained since his arrest.

A source close to the Reiner family told the Daily Mail that “Nick no longer looks like Nick.”

“He is rapidly deteriorating. No one would recognize him. He is almost bald because they have to keep his hair super short to keep the bugs out, and he is super skinny because of the intense medication he is on. His eyes are very sunken in,” the insider said.

“Nick has not been well for many years, but before jail some of his personality could be recognized. Not now. He is like a babbling child, totally out of it,” the source continued. “It’s so bad his lawyers have a hard time talking to him.”

Annie, 77, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since her brother and sister-in-law were killed, though family and friends were photographed gathering at her Los Angeles home one week after the tragedy.

Nick was arrested by Los Angeles Police Department officers on Dec. 14, 2025, shortly after his dad and mom — who were 78 and 70, respectively — were found stabbed to death inside their Brentwood home.

He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances of multiple murders and personal use of a knife.

According to Rob and Michele’s death certificates, they died within “minutes” of receiving “multiple sharp force injuries” with a “knife, by another.”

If convicted, Nick faces a possible death sentence or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Nick — who had gotten into an argument with his parents at Conan O’Brien’s Dec. 13 Christmas party — was diagnosed with schizophrenia before the killings and has a long history of drug addiction.

He pleaded not guilty in February.

Rob and Michele, who had been married since 1989, were also parents to son Jake Reiner, 35, and daughter Romy Reiner, 28. Prior to marrying Michele, the actor-director was married to Penny Marshall from 1971 to 1981. During their relationship, Rob adopted her daughter, Tracy Reiner, 62.

Jake broke his silence on his parents’ deaths in a Substack essay that detailed the exact moment he found out they had died.

“I was in Union Station at a celebration of life for one of my best friends, Christian Anderson, who died in October,” Jake wrote. “It was at that moment I received a call from my sister Romy telling me our father was dead. Minutes later, she called back telling me our mother was also dead.”

Jake continued, “The 45-minute Lyft ride from downtown to the west side was unendurable. My world, as I knew it, had collapsed. I was in a trance. The only thing I could focus on was that I needed to get to my childhood home. I needed to get to my sister. I needed to figure out what the hell just happened.”

Jake lamented that he feels “robbed of so many things” after losing his dad and mom, noting that the tragedy “simultaneously breaks my heart and enrages me.”

“Nothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time,” he added. “It’s too devastating to comprehend. I still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, it’s not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare.”

In April, Jake shared a throwback snapshot of himself with his parents on Instagram with a heartfelt caption.

“A week from today I will be approaching my first birthday without my parents. I consider myself lucky to have had them by my side for the past 34 years. In the last four months, I’ve learned a lot about grief. I want to thank @iamdavidkessler, who has been instrumental in navigating the horrors of this process, as well as my family and friends. I hope you take the time to read my full essay at the link in my bio. For anyone dealing with any type of grief and loss, I see you.”

He concluded the post, writing, “To my aunt Martine, I love you. Thank you for taking care of us.”
