EXCLUSIVE: Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger are embarking on a quest to find the origins of human creativity, which will be chronicled in a docuseries for Roku. The friends, longtime collaborators and Arch Motorcycle co-founders are headlining and executive producing the series, tentatively titled The Arch Project.
In the newly greenlighted program, fueled by their own curiosity and desire to learn, Hollinger and Reeves will explore the stories of those whose ideas and achievements they admire, meeting with mavericks who have shaped and changed the world.
“Our goal in creating this show is to explore the answers to the question, ‘where does human creativity and ingenuity come from’?” said Hollinger and Reeves. “We’ve sought out artists, innovators, and creators, whose stories we hope will inspire viewers to find answers that help unlock their own creativity.”
The docuseries is produced by Venture 10 Studio Group. Hollinger; Reeves; Hollinger’s wife, reality TV director Sharon Trojan Hollinger; Venture 10 CEO John Stevens; and Brian Skope executive produce, with Rick De Oliveira serving as a consulting executive producer.
“Through a genuine drive to better understand human creativity, Gard Hollinger and Keanu Reeves will bring audiences a series that inspire us all to dream bigger and bolder,” said Sean Boyle, Roku Originals, who is overseeing the project. “We’re proud to partner with Sharon, Gard, Keanu, and Venture 10 Studio Group on this one-of-kind docuseries for audiences to enjoy for free on The Roku Channel.”
Reeves recently headlined and executive produced the Disney+ docuseries Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, in which he interviews the likes of Jensen Button and Ross Brawn.
“Roku immediately understood and supported what we wanted to accomplish with The Arch Project,” Stevens said. “The collaboration has been amazing, and we are excited to launch this truly unique series together.”
