A 14-year-old boy was shot and wounded inside a Brooklyn playground next to a middle school Sunday evening, cops said.
The teen was hit once by gunfire in the left foot while he was at Bildersee Playground behind IS 68 near Flatlands Avenue and East 81st Street in Canarsie shortly after 5 p.m., authorities said.
He was taken to nearby Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, according to police.
It’s unclear if the victim was an intended target as the NYPD continues its investigation.
So far, no one has been arrested in the shooting.
The playground where the boy was shot opened in 1965 and is adjacent to IS 068 Isaac Bildersee school, according to the city Park’s department website.
The park has basketball courts, a running track, a synthetic turf field, handball courts and a general play area.
