EXCLUSIVE: Meta Golding (Rabbit Hole) has been tapped for a key recurring role in Ransom Canyon, Netflix‘s new romantic drama series, starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly.
Created, written and executive produced by April Blair based on Jodi Thomas’ book series, Ransom Canyon is a romance-fueled family drama and contemporary western saga that charts the intersecting lives of three ranching families, all set against the rugged expanse of Texas Hill Country.
Golding plays Paula Jo. Tougher than the toughest nail. A force to be reckoned with. Davis’ fiery ex-wife and Reid’s mom Paula Jo rolls into Ransom Canyon in her red Porsche and matching red-bottomed heels determined to make waves.
In addition to Duhamel and Kelly Golding joins previously announced series regulars James Brolin, Eoin Macken, Lizzy Greene, Marianly Tejada, Jack Schumacher, Garrett Wareing and Andrew Liner. Recurring cast includes Brett Cullen, Kate Burton, Jaren Robledo, Jennifer Ens, Kenneth Miller, Niko Guardado, Justin Johnson Cortez and Casey W. Johnson. Philip Winchester will guest star.
Golding most recently starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the Paramount + spy thriller Rabbit Hole executive produced by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Golding also portrayed Rosa Parks in the NAACP nominated TV One feature Behind the Movement. Her other series credits include Empire, Daybreak, CSI, Dark Blue, Tomorrow People, Mysteries of Laura and Criminal Minds. On the feature side, Golding reprised her Hunger Games: Catching Fire role of Enobaria in the final installment of the saga, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. She is repped by Charlton Blackburne Management, Paradigm and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich, Goodell & Gellman.
