President Donald Trump’s latest late-night social media ranting spree astounded one political analyst because of what it revealed about the president’s personality.
Late last night, Trump took to Truth Social to lambaste people who recently criticized him, like Joe Scarborough of MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” and ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith, as well as the Iranian army, for their various offenses. Trump described Smith as a “low-IQ” individual, a moniker that the president has often given to people of color, and lashed out at Scarborough for his show’s ratings. Trump also claimed that Iran’s army was “a complete and total mess” despite the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
David Pakman, host of the “David Pakman Show,” said in a new reaction video that Trump’s posting spree revealed a startling lack of self-reflection from the world’s most powerful leader.
“There is no ability to self-reflect and go, ‘I’m going to sit back and really think for a moment. Here’s a list of the promises I made to people, and here’s a list of the things I’ve done since I’ve become president. Are these the sorts of promises that are likely to be fulfilled by my actions? No, they’re not. I’m screwing up. I’m making gas more expensive. I’ve pumped inflation to 4.2%,’” Pakman said. “No! That is not something that Donald Trump is willing to do. And I don’t think, quite frankly, it’s something that he is capable of doing.”
Trump’s repeated late-night social media rants have raised questions about the president’s health. Some experts have suggested that Trump’s sleeping habits resemble those of someone with dementia. People around the president have claimed that Trump is up late because of his work ethic.
