Kate Gosselin breaks down over ‘strain’ of adopting rescue dog in tearful TikTok

Kate Gosselin became emotional as she talked about the “strain” of integrating her rescue dog Koda into her home.

“I was just crying this morning,” the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum shared on TikTok Tuesday while giving a “day 12 update” on the animal.

“I’m tired. It’s getting to be a lot, which makes me sound like a baby, but the truth is, I’ve just been on watch constantly hoping nothing, you know, happens and watching them all the time,” she said.

Gosselin — who also adopted Koda’s sister, Meika — said it has been “a lot” trying to manage the two dogs’ schedules at age 51.

“Koda is a humongous personality,” she said of the Belgian Malinois mix. “She is now very obsessed with her ball, equally as Meika, and she could run forever.”

The former reality star said Koda is exhibiting as much energy as an Alaskan Malamute and it’s starting to make her “doubt” herself.

“[Koda] destroyed a rug yesterday and she tried to destroy — this makes me cry — Nanuq’s bed that used to be Shoka’s,” she said, referring to her former German shepherds.

“It’s our favorite bed. I’ve had it for 15 plus years or more … and it’s very special to me. [Koda] sleeps on it at night. It’s the bed we keep in our room. That really upset me. That would really break my heart. And I know that things get destroyed,” Gosselin added.

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum said the “pressure” and “strain and stress” had been “weighing on” both her and boyfriend Steve Neild; however, they were aware that the rescue process could be hard.

“At the end of the day, probably no one else would have saved her,” she claimed. “So, I know that we’re doing a good thing. We just have to hang in.”

Last December, Gosselin announced that her beloved German Shepherd Nanuq had died.

“I have no words. One minute she was here and healthy. The next, she was gone,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

Kate shares eight kids with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin: 22-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah, Collin and Leah; as well as 25-year-old twins Mady and Cara.
