Stephen Colbert got candid about the moment he learned none other than supermodel Paulina Porizkova named him as her “hall pass.”
The talk show host explained how he and his friends were discussing their own “hall passes” over dinner in the early 2000s, during an episode of “Strike Force Five Returns to Celebrate Stephen Colbert” shared via YouTubeearlier this month.
“The guy next to me goes, ‘Paulina Porizkova,’” he explained. “And this was midway through ‘The Colbert Report.’ I pulled up my phone, opened the PEOPLE magazine app on my phone, and I was Paulina Porizkova’s hall pass.”
Colbert’s co-stars Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Seth Meyers were in disbelief, saying, “Oh my God!”
“That was a flex that I’ve never ever been able to match,” the “Late Show With Stephen Colbert” star, 62, admitted.
Porizkova, 61, previously gushed over the TV personalityduring an episode of “Good Morning America” with host Elizabeth Vargas in 2007.
“If it wasn’t for the fact that I’m already very happily married, and so is he apparently,” she said. “He is just my kind of guy. He’s so hot.”
Porizkova then looked at the cameras and signaled for Colbert to call her.
At the time, Colbert reacted to the clip on “The Colbert Report,” telling the audience, “I don’t know if I heard that supermodel correctly.”
Colbert then pulled out a T-shirt he made with Porizkova’s face and the quote about him being attractive.
He then joked that he wasn’t surprised Porizkova thought he was “hot” as he compared himself to her late husband, musician Ric Ocasek.
Porizkova and the Cars frontman got married in 1989 and raised two sons, Jonathan and Oliver, together before their 2018 separation.
The following year, Ocasek was found deadin his New York City apartment. His cause of death was due to heart disease.
Porizkova is currently engaged to TV writer and producer Jeff Greenstein.
Colbert, meanwhile, tied the knot to Evelyn McGee in 1993, and the couple are the parents to three adult kids: Peter, Madeline and John.
