Man arrested in NYC robbery in which victim was shot multiple times

A man has been arrested in connection with a wild, caught-on-video shooting and robbery this week in NYC that left the victim in critical condition.

Lexson Warner was charged with robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property for the early Monday morning incident in Borough Park, cops said.

Warner, 32, is not thought to be the triggerman in the chilling incident, in which a gunman opened fire multiple times as he robbed the victim at gunpoint.

The victim, 31, had just gotten out of a car on 58th Street in Borough Park, Brooklyn, around 3:30 a.m. when a stranger approached, police said.

Surveillance footage shows a person in a white hooded sweatshirt and black pants shooting at a grill, illuminating a bright light.
The victim had just gotten out of a vehicle when he was approached by a gun-wielding robber, cops said.

The robbery was caught on surveillance video that was later posted on X.

Desperate to hold onto his belongings, the victim struggled with his attacker, who first fired a warning shot into some nearby trash cans in front of a home, according to the footage and police.

The attacker then turned the gun on the victim, appearing to shoot him in the leg, with the flash from the fired pistol clearly visible in the video.

The two men then move out of view, behind a tree. The victim is next seen in the clip lying on the ground, bleeding from his abdomen.

The victim was shot multiple times in the gut and leg and was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, police said. He required surgery but was in stable condition Saturday, police sources said.

The robber got away with the victim’s phone, wallet and about $300, cops said. DCPI

The robber got away with the victim’s cellphone, wallet, and approximately $300 before running eastbound on 59th Street, police said.

The robbery was still under investigation.
