Proud Boys founder comes unglued as interview goes off the rails: ‘They killed patriots!’

Gavin McInnes, the founder of the Proud Boys, came unglued on Tuesday during an off-the-rails interview on Piers Morgan’s YouTube show, “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

McInnes was on a panel with right-wing provocateur Chris Rufo, ex-GOP lawmaker Joe Walsh, and liberal radio host Brian Shapiro, where they discussed the heated political rhetoric circulating since the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday. The alleged shooter, Cole Allen, fired multiple rounds inside the hotel where the event was held, but was never in close vicinity of the president or any members of the cabinet who were in attendance, according to reports.

One Secret Service agent was hit by a bullet in their bulletproof vest and survived. No one was killed during the shooting.

Morgan asked McInnes if he regretted using violent rhetoric in the past, and McInnes declined. He argued that any violent rhetoric he used was in response to an attack from a left-wing group and was therefore justified.

Shapiro challenged McInnes’ logic, which is when things got heated.

“Was that Antifa on January 6?” Shapiro asked sharply. “Was that Antifa on January 6, when 140 officers were beaten?”

“They were beaten for shooting at protesters!” McInnes erupted. “They were beaten for flashbangs. People were going ‘Stop inciting a riot, police!’”

“Your affirmative action police hires killed patriots that day!” McInnes continued.
