An Alabama man was found guilty of fatally shooting his nephew’s wife after she chillingly dared him to “blow my brains out” after a fight broke out while searching for a lost cow, according to authorities and reports.
Timothy Houston Harville, 61, was convicted by a Lawrence County jury on a slew of charges, including murder, for shooting Angela Berryman Hill Harville, 46, in the head with a shotgun in September 2023.
Cops rushed to the home in Hatton on the evening of Sept. 13, 2023, and pronounced Angela Harville dead at the scene, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Timothy Harville went to the home of his nephew and wife, Scott and Angela Harville, that night to search for a lost cow, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Lt. Adam Lentz said at a court hearing, the Mounton Advertiser reported.
Angela Harville’s teenage son and a friend, Curtis West, were at the home at the time, the investigator testified.
Timothy Harville arrived to find West, whom he didn’t know, sitting on the front porch with a gun — sparking an argument between the pair.
The victim’s son said he tried to leave when the fight started, but the enraged uncle had a shotgun in his car and threatened to shoot out the tires of the boy’s vehicle, the outlet reported.
Timothy Harville then stormed inside the residence, and Angela Harville called her husband, Scott, to tell him that he was fighting with West.
She tried to calm them down by sending the men into different rooms, but Timothy Harville’s anger quickly escalated.

Scott Harville then heard his wife and Timothy Harville arguing — with Angele Harville stating, “Go ahead and blow my brains out.”
Timothy Harville then fired a single gunshot at her and callously said, “There you go,” the courtroom heard.
The gun-wielding maniac was also out on bail at the time on December 2022 charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling/vehicle and two counts of reckless endangerment.
He was also found guilty of one count each of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, menacing and first-degree burglary in connection with the death of Angela Harville.
His defense attorney, Paula Bassham, told Peoplethat her client maintains his innocence and claimed no physical evidence linked him to the murder.
“He says that he did not do this,” Bassman told the outlet. “He says he left and she was alive and well … There’s absolutely no physical evidence that linked him to this. No blood, no DNA, no shotgun, nothing.”
