See how different groups voted for the U.S. House and Senate in the 2026 midterm elections, according to preliminary results from the NORC Civic Health & Elections Project survey, which was sponsored by The Washington Post and other organizations. The survey interviewed more than 90,000 U.S. voters nationally in the week leading up to Election Day.
Charts show estimates for the share of each group that supported Democrats and Republicans for Congress nationally and in competitive battleground districts. State-level results show how different groups voted in key U.S. Senate races. The estimates will change in the coming days as the poll is weighted to match vote tallies.
