OnlyFans star blasts girlfriends banning boyfriends from GTA VI : ‘At least he’s not cheating in real life’

Is it cheating if it’s in a video game? An OnlyFans star says women are being too strict on boyfriends.

With the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI on Nov. 19, millionaire OnlyFans creator Skylar Mae is weighing in on whether virtual infidelity counts as real cheating — and she’s urging women to relax and let their partners enjoy the game.

The hit action-adventure video game franchise has long drawn scrutiny for its explicit content, since the first edition was released in 1997, for its simulated strip clubs with lap dances and optional prostitution gameplay.

While some partners express concern over the game’s steamy features, Mae argues women should care more about real-life loyalty than pixels on a screen.

“They could be out at a real strip club or actually cheating on you in real life,” Mae told Jam Press. “It’s the same thing with OnlyFans. Hey, at least they’re doing it at home and not physically cheating on you with someone else!”

The game has sparked fierce debate across social media, with gamers and their partners disputing over whether building virtual relationships or visiting in-game strip clubs crosses the line into emotional infidelity.

Mae said she has heard girls say they don’t let their boyfriends play GTA because they are maintaining a relationship with the other main character, which she said she finds comical, and said it’s the same thing as them having an OnlyFans subscription.

Mae says she doesn’t understand why women are “getting so worked up” over a fictional relationship.

Her stance comes in response to a wave of TikTok videos featuring women declaring that their boyfriends are banned from playing GTA VI because of its lead characters, Jason and Lucia.

Shelby Haas, who boasts 1.1 million followers on TikTok, posted a viral video stating her fiancé isn’t allowed to play GTA VI after learning players must maintain a relationship with a female character, text her, take her on dates, and engage in virtual intimacy. She added that she also disapproves of the game’s strip clubs and nudist themes.

“Don’t let your boyfriend, fiancé or husband play GTA6,” she ranted to viewers. “The entire male population is going way downhill… why are you in love with pixels?”

The clip ignited sharp debate. Some commenters agreed with Haas, calling the gameplay “seriously weird” and arguing that “if there was an equally popular game for girls, these men would flip out.”

Another commenter branded the game “demonic as hell.”

But others say women being “insecure about a video game” is more of a reflection on their insecurities.

“It’s just a game… Are we that insecure???” commented one user on her video.

“If you are worried about a fictional character… that’s a reflection on you,” wrote another.

Mae agrees with the critics of the ban, believing women should appreciate having partners who prefer gaming over real-world trouble. Rather than banning the game, she suggests women pick up a controller themselves.

“My advice is to 100% play the game for yourself!” she said. “I think these girls should just jump on the game, take a look and chill out, because at least their boyfriends aren’t cheating on them in real life!”
