Actor and martial arts fanatic Richard Norton ignored his nurse’s warning about peptide use before his sudden death at age 75.
Norton, who passed away on March 30, 2025, died from “a cardiac arrest at home following self- administration of recently commenced peptide therapy,” according to a newly released coroner’s report obtained by People.
After telling his medical practitioner he was interested in peptide therapy following a previous treatment with another doctor, the Australian actor was approved for the treatment on March 19.

On March 25, he told his doctor that he was feeling good, but just three days later, he “requested a replacement” after allegedly “dropp[ing] and [breaking]” the vial of his treatment.
The high-level athlete was granted the replacement, along with two additional peptides. During that time, he told the nurse that he was taking twice the prescribed dose, while the nurse warned him only to take the prescribed amount.
Per NBC News, he was taking growth hormone peptides CJC1295 and Ipamorelin.
After he had injected the second dose of peptides that evening, his wife, Judy Green, said Norton complained of feeling “hot and flushed and then collapsed and became unresponsive” at around 9 p.m.

She contacted her doctor and medical services, administering CPR until medics arrived before 9:30 p.m.
Clinicians noted that he suffered anaphylaxis followed by cardiac arrest after injecting the peptides.
Peptides, popularized and peddled by RFK Jr. in recent years, have been utilized by many in Hollywood to promote muscle growth, fat loss, skin health and more.

However, many of these peptides — short chains of amino acids — are not FDA-approved, which means much of the market is unregulated.
The coroner believes that this is the first death in Australia linked to peptides.
In a photo taken just a few days before his death, Norton looked fit and healthy as he posed with martial arts instructor Kacey Chong after their session.
The photo was posted on March 19, 2025.

After his death, his wife took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking tribute.
“I am numb and devastated, I have no words I have lost my everything,” she wrote.
“I know there is, and will be lots of love and shock that we have lost this incredible human being. The love
of my life. I’m using this time to come to terms with my great loss. Judy,” she concluded.
