YouTuber Ethan Klein has been fired from the “H3 Podcast” after his wife and co-host, Hila Klein, accused him of having an affair.
“I am living a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” Hila wrote on Instagram late Thursday. “My husband has been having an affair. I have been fed lie after lie after lie for months. Here is the truth.”
Hila explained that she was suspicious of Ethan, but when she confronted him about her “concerns and hurt feelings,” she “was met with dismissive answers and no action.”
However, Hila said she “trusted” her husband, whom she married in 2012 and shares three sons with, so she “stopped questioning him” and instead “began to question myself, my own instincts. My sanity.”
“Eventually, he was caught in a lie, and I knew I was done,” Hila wrote, noting that Ethan continued to lie to her about the details of his relationship with the other woman.
But once Hila “dragged these lies” from Ethan, he finally admitted that he was having an affair for over six months, though Hila said she’s still in the dark about the true “extent” of the affair
“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,” Hila told her followers. “The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business. My only family on this side of the world. How do I even begin to make sense of this?”
Hila admitted she’s unsure of “what comes next” for her, adding that she’s “in survival mode, trying to navigate separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak.”
“All I can do right now is focus on taking care of myself and my children, one day at a time,” she continued. “You’re not crazy. Trust your instincts. Trust yourself. If you’re not being treated right, get up and leave.”
The “H3 Podcast” crew released a statement confirming Ethan’s firing and expressing support for Hila.
“We stand with Hila and will support her every step of the way,” the statement read. “We’re disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the hurt he has caused. We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you.”
The podcast team said they’re “all shocked, angry, and heartbroken over Ethan’s affair, and confirmed they decided to cut ties with him “as soon as they found out” what he did.
“We don’t yet know what that means for the future,” the podcast crew went on. “There’s a lot to work through, and we wish we had more answers for you.”

Ethan and Hila’s satire and comedy podcast, which they launched in 2016, has over 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
The couple met in 2007 when Ethan visited Israel during a Birthright trip. Hila was serving in the Israel Defense Forces at the time.
Ethan and Hila married five years later and welcomed sons Theodore, 7, Bruce, 4, and Sunny, 2.
Hila is the sister of fellow YouTuber Trisha Paytas’ husband, Moses Hacmon.
