Sober house where Presley Gerber died had a previous suspected OD call earlier this year: report

The sober living house where Presley Gerber died from a suspected overdose last month had police responding to a separate possible overdose call earlier this year, according to a report.

Per records from the Santa Monica Police Department obtained by TMZ, officials responded to a call from Resolutions Living on Feb. 18, from someone concerned that a patient may have OD’d.

A source further informed the outlet that the overdose involved a woman found unresponsive, but eventually revived. Police reportedly arrived, spoke to the woman, and left without transporting her to the hospital.

The source additionally told TMZ it took at least five doses of Narcan to bring her back to consciousness. Narcan (naloxone) is a medication that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose, per the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford, 60, and Rande Gerber, 64, was staying at Resolutions Living’s $7.7 million rehabilitation home in Santa Monica, California at the time of his death, Sept. 20, at age 27. It is not apparent if the aforementioned patient responded to in February was also there at the time he was present.

Gerber died of a suspected overdose, but his cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

The Resolutions Living facility focuses on providing addiction and mental health support, including a staff that caters to each resident’s specific needs at the three-story property, according to its website.

Dr. Reza Nabavi, the founder and owner of thefacility, once had his psychology license denied over his criminal past involving drugs and a minor, Page Six exclusively reported.

We were able to confirm that in February 2002 — two years before he obtained his Ph.D in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology — Nabavi, now 50, was arrested after Oakland Police Department officers found him asleep in a car in an area known for “frequent narcotic and prostitution activity.”

Nabavi, who was 25 at the time, was with a 15-year-old girl, and officers said they found drugs and weapons in his vehicle. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.

After a separate arrest in May of that year, he pleaded again no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.

Page Six learned that it took several failed attempts before he was registered. He opened Resolutions Living in 2013 after working at a different rehab center in Malibu. BACKGRID

After several failed attempts to register as a psychologist in California, he eventually was able to register as one in 2006 under terms and conditions of his probation, and his license is listed by the state board as being valid until 2028.

Nabavi went on to serve as the director of family services at the since-closed, celebrity-frequented rehab center Promises Malibu from June 2006 to May 2011.

Two years later, he opened Resolutions Living in Santa Monica.

Page Six previously confirmed that Gerber — who had a well-documented history of substance abuse, addiction and mental health issues — was admitted to RL on Saturday, the day before he died.

Sources with direct knowledge told us the model was “visibly under the influence” at the time.
