President Donald Trump’s rally for Ohio Sen. Jon Husted went off the rails when he made a seemingly lustful comment about the senator’s body.
“I don’t do this with men very often,” Trump told the crowd. “I started examining his body because I didn’t know he was a great athlete. And I looked and I watched up and down. I looked at his ass and I looked at the whole… And then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these claws.”
Trump’s odd reverence for Husted’s butt got plenty of attention from commenters on social media.
“ookayyyy,” wrote The Bulwark’s Sam Stein.
“This is all perfectly normal. Nothing unusual about this at all,” wrote Mississippi Press Association executive director Layne Bruce.
“Is he getting gayer as he gets older? Is that a thing?” wrote YouTube political commentator Benjamin Dixon.
“‘Penthouse, I never believed that your letters were real, until recently…’” wrote comedian and editorial columnist Robert A. George.
“I guess i’ll be the one to do this. Does anyone have a good pic of Husted’s ass so we can judge for ourselves?” wrote former Republican operative turned Never Trump activist Tim Miller.
