Sydney Sweeney ditches top in new Novig sports betting ad after backlash: ‘I’m flattered’

Sydney Sweeney is doubling down on stripping down.

After facing backlash for her controversial Novig ad last month in which she ditched her clothes for the sports-prediction market and trading app, she dropped another ad Sunday in which she appears without a top.

Wearing just a pair of white panties reading Novig, the “Euphoria” alum says, “There are grown men making spreadsheets to bet on what color underwear I’m wearing.”

“I mean, I’m flattered?” she adds.

The actress, 29, at one point strategically covers her breasts with two footballs.

She continues, “There’s someone sitting in a bathroom stall and betting their 401k on a w–re, and then, there are just people who trade on sports.”

“Novig is… just sports,” she concludes.

The “Christy” star received plenty of supportive comments from fans, who predicted the new ad will cause even more furor.

One comment reads, “She finna piss them off again lol,” while another comment reads, “I love this! And I love all the Jealous Girls, yelling when they see another new Spot 😂❤.”

One fan joked, “I think Sydney loves being hated 😭😂.”

Sweeney remains unapologetic for her provocative sports ads, despite some criticizing the campaign as sexualizing female athletes and reducing women’s connection to sports to being just about their physical appearance.

She responded to the backlash last month by posting even more stripped-down snaps of the ad campaign on Instagram.

She also shared images of several athletes — including Serena Williams, Ronda Rousey, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jason Kelce — who have posed without clothing for different covers of ESPN’s famed Body Issue.

Sweeney’s “Euphoria” co-star Sharon Stone was recently asked about the controversy and said it was up to the “Anyone But You” actress “to take responsibility for her actions.”

Stone told People that her own part was “to be a cheerleader for the women who have made it through and become champions in women’s sports.”

The “Basic Instinct” star, 68, added that the focus of women’s sports should not be on getting “men’s attention.”

“We can’t denigrate women’s sports to get men’s attention so they can gamble,” she explained.
