Gyspy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker quietly broke up a month before his tragic death.
“They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months,” a source close to the pair exclusively told Page Six Friday.
The insider said Blanchard and Urker were “trying to work it out for a bit” but decided to end things “amicably.”

“It was nothing nasty…It was just a mutual agreement,” the source said, adding, “They were co-parenting.”
The source explained that they agreed to Blanchard taking care of Aurora, born in December 2024, on weekdays, with Ken having time with his daughter “every other weekend.”
“It was just totally normal, nothing ever weird about it,” the source said, calling Urker the “best” father.
We’re told Blanchard and Urker broke up due to his mental health struggles.
“She missed him. She wanted him back, obviously, and he just wasn’t in the right frame of mind,” the source said of Urker. “His mentality of mental health wasn’t good for the past few months.”
“We all just wanted him to kind of get better and see if he would get some therapy. And she was just hoping that would be the outcome,” the source continued.
Despite their breakup, they continued to stay in touch and remained very friendly with each other.

“They were in touch every few days checking in on Aurora, ’cause she had her all the time, and they’d Facetime,” the source said.
The source last spoke with Urker about two weeks ago to check in and make sure he was doing alright while coping with their breakup.
“I checked in on him two weeks ago, just saying, ‘Hey, just checking in. ‘Cause I know it’s a hard time for both of you.’ And he was like, ‘I love you to bits. I’m surviving right now. But thanks for checking in.’”
Urker was tragically died on his 34th birthdayat his Louisiana home on Thursday.
He was “found dead upon arrival,” the Public Information Officer from Lafourche Parish told Page Six in a statement.
Authorities said they were “continuing the death investigation,” but that they have “found no evidence of foul play.”
Urker was found with drug paraphernaliaand a gun at time of death, according to a police report obtained by Page Six.

“Deputies walked in the direction of the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance,” the report stated. “Deputies located a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed.”
The report also stated that a “holstered” handgun was found on his nightstand beside two shot glasses and a syringe.
Urker “was found lying on the bed on his back, cold to the touch, and appeared to have been there for an extended period of time,” the report furthered.
Blanchard claimed that he died of a suspected overdoseand responded to the heartbreaking news by sharing in a statement to People that she was “in disbelief.”
“I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns,” she said. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
She also pointed to Urker struggling with extreme online bullying.
“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit,” she said. “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure.”

Urker and Blanchard met in 2017 during her prison sentence for the murder of her mom Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. They got engaged in October 2018, but ended up splitting and she married Ryan Scott Anderson in June 2022.
Blanchard, 35, and Anderson broke up two years later, and shortly after, she rekindled her relationship with Urker.
