The company behind the $TRUMP memecoin said it is planning a third gala for top holders, as the president’s and his family’s ventures to cash in on virtual assets have turned him from hero to scourge among some crypto investors.
The latest event will take place Nov. 22 at Trump’s golf club in Sterling, Virginia, the company announced late Wednesday.
After attendees at previous events complained they had hoped for a handshake or photo with President Donald Trump and never got one, this time the company website says, “No attendees will be granted a private meet & greet with the President.”
Some Democrats and ethics experts suspected the events could attract people seeking to buy access or influence with the president. But attendees at the previous events said they were mainly hobbyists and fanboys. Trading in the memecoin has dwindled since it launched in January 2025, so many of the top holders who land an invitation are expected to be the same people eligible for the past events.
The company is also planning events around a Formula 1 race in Singapore later this month and the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in February.
