Frankie Muniz’s estranged wife, Paige Price, shares cryptic message after actor’s concerning post

Paige Price shared a cryptic message about “perspective” two hours after her estranged husband, Frankie Muniz, opened up about “hitting rock bottom” in a concerning Instagram post.

“Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector,” Price, 33, wrote on her Instagram Story Friday, alongside a video of herself making a wax seal.

The clip was set to an acoustic version of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” including the lyrics, “And I don’t want the world to see me / ‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand / When everything’s made to be broken / I just want you to know who I am.”

Muniz, 40, had taken to Instagram shortly before Price shared her Story, posting a photo of himself alongside a vulnerable caption about his recent struggles.

“The last six weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from,” he wrote. “Everything [has] felt heavy, unclear, and like it [has been] falling apart at the same time. I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone.”

The “Malcolm in the Middle” actor went on to say that he’s “had nowhere to hide” from everything he’s been going through, but described the experience as an “unexpected gift.”

“I’ve had time to sit with myself, do real self-reflection, and finally see the areas of my life that need work if I want to become a better version of me,” Muniz added. “Not the polished version I show the world … the actual one.”

Muniz acknowledged “hitting rock bottom,” saying he’s read that sometimes it can be the “thing that wakes you up” and “forces the changes you needed to make all along so you can live the best life possible.”

“In five years, I believe I’ll look back at this exact low point and feel grateful for it because the high I’ll be standing on then only exists because I went through this,” he continued.

The NASCAR driver also said this “isn’t the end of [his] story” but the start of doing the “uncomfortable, unglamorous [and] necessary” work.

“I’m choosing to treat this season as the foundation, not the finish line,” he added.

He concluded his post by writing, “If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken. You’re being rebuilt. Let’s keep going!”

Muniz announced in July that he and Price were splitting “after 10 beautiful years together,” sharing the news in an Instagram post that he later deleted amid backlash.

Price came to his defense in the comments of the since-deleted post, writing in part, “Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old funny video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f–ked.”

Price and Muniz tied the knot in Phoenix, Arizona, in February 2020, less than two years after Muniz popped the question in November 2018.

The exes share 5-year-old son Mauz, whom they welcomed in March 2021.
