Sandra Bullock calls out ‘pervert’ who requested she ‘drop’ her pants during audition

Casting call from hell.

Sandra Bullock recalled auditioning for “perverts” when she was a young actress trying to make it in the industry.

“You’ll get this,” she began during a chat with close friend Jennifer Aniston for Interview magazine. “I was in New York, I was a waitress, I was auditioning for every pervert that existed, asking me to drop my pants.”

Bullock remembered thinking, “Nope, not the role for me” but continued to try and “work [her] way up.”

“Every working actor thinks you will never work again so you just take what you can get and make the most of it,” she explained.

Bullock, 62, revealed that the first time she was “intentional” in her career was when she decided to “stop right now with the rom-coms.”

“I was getting so much shit for them,” the “Miss Congeniality” star admitted.

Her role in the 2004 crime thriller “Crash” ultimately changed the trajectory of her career and made her a more serious actress.

“It was a genius film. I wanted to start flexing other muscles.”

In the Paul Haggis-directed film, Bullock starred as Jean Cabot, the wealthy wife of a Los Angeles district attorney whose worldview is shaken when the couple is carjacked at gunpoint by two Black teenagers.

The movie explored complex racial and social tensions and won the Oscar for Best Picture.

From there, Bullock went on to star in more critically-acclaimed films, such as “The Blind Side” (2009), which won her the Oscar for best actress, and “Gravity” (2013), which earned her another nomination.

Aside from the “perverts” Bullock dealt with in her early acting day, she admitted that she misses the days when she primarily did comedies.

“I want to do nothing but that now,” she confessed. “Some people want to bring sexy back. We’re going to bring the funny back.”

Bullock’s most recent film is “Practical Magic 2,” the sequel to the late ’90s cult-classic starring her and Nicole Kidman.

The movie saw the pair play sisters Sally and Gillian, who must navigate their family’s generational curse that dooms any man who falls in love with them to an untimely death. The pair reprised their roles in the sequel, which hit theaters on Sept. 10.

The “Ocean’s 8” actress made her Instagram debut to tease the film, which includes a cameo of Bullock’s two children, earlier this year.
