More reinforcements that Republicans have eagerly anticipated from President Donald Trump’s war chest arrived Thursday with additional spending in House and Senate races, bringing the total so far to $57 million.
The Trump-affiliated No Going Back PAC bought airtime in Iowa’s Senate race, supporting Rep. Ashley Hinson (R) in her contest with Paralympian Josh Turek. The group also added money to Senate races in New Hampshire, Alaska, North Carolina and Georgia, according to data from media tracker AdImpact. On Wednesday, the PAC booked ads in Ohio and Michigan.
The group also reserved ads in these competitive House races:
- Michigan’s 4th district, which Trump won by six points in 2024, currently represented by eight-term incumbent Bill Huizenga (R).
- North Carolina’s 11th district, where the party chose state Rep. Jennifer Balkcom to step in after Rep. Chuck Edwards withdrew over sexual harassment allegations.
- Washington’s 3rd district, where Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D) faces state senate leader John Braun.
- Texas’s redrawn 34th district, where Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D) faces Army veteran and former prosecutor Eric Flores (R).
- Texas’s redrawn 35th district, pitting Republican Air Force veteran Carlos De La Cruz (brother of Texas Republican Rep. Monica De La Cruz) against Democratic deputy sheriff Johnny Garcia.
- Colorado’s left-drifting 5th district, where Rep. Jeff Crank (R) faces Jessica Killin (D), a former congressional staffer and top aide to Doug Emhoff as second gentleman.
- Colorado’s 8th district, where Rep. Gabe Evans (R) faces state Rep. Manny Rutinel (D).
On Wednesday, the PAC put almost $1 million into Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, where Trump ally Rep. Scott Perry (R) is in a toss-up race against Democrat Janelle Stelson.
Trump said last week he could spend up to $500 million on the midterms and still reserve money for 2028 or other purposes. Republicans had expressed anxiety that Trump was withholding money until after Labor Day.
