A brute hurled a glass bottle at an NYPD cop’s head – sending him to the hospital – as he tried to break up a brawl at a Queens housing development this week, cops said.
The officer, a 29-year-old man, responded to the melee around 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the back of a building on 34th Avenue near 14th Street, part of NYCHA’s Ravenswood Houses, authorities said.
When he tried to disperse the disorderly crew, someone in the crowd threw the bottle at the officer’s head, leaving him with a cut, cops said.

The assailant fled on foot, and the officer went to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released photos of the bearded attacker, seen wearing a blue jacket with a white pattern on the sleeves.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
