“Saturday Night Live” announced the hosts and musical guests for the first four shows of its 52nd season in a Wednesday post on social media.
Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks’ point guard who led his team to their first NBA championship in 53 years, will host the season premiere on Sept. 26 with girl group Katseye as the musical guest.
He’ll be followed by actress Dakota Johnson, stand-up comic Shane Gillis — who was once fired from the show for offensive jokes — and “Obsession” breakout Inde Navarrette for shows on Oct. 3, 10 and 31, respectively. The scheduled musical guests for those shows are Baltimore-based punk group Turnstile, genre-bending vocalist Rosalía and pop vocalist Gracie Abrams.

Ahead of this season, longtime cast member Chloe Fineman departed SNL. Writer Martin Herlihy, who appeared in sketches as part of the Please Don’t Destroy group, also left the show after five seasons.
