Tennis lovers nauseated by smells of sewage and ‘human waste’ at US Open: ‘You’re breathing in s- – t’

Tennis tastemakers are raising a stink.

US Open attendees are making a viral racket online, claiming the unmistakable stench of “human waste” is funking up their championship experience at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“When it smells like human waste and the US Open has known about it for days, yet continues to allow people to sit in Section 310,” alleged a social media whistleblower, digitally known as @BaylorCarrots, in the captions of a vid with over 10 million views.

Footage of the foul play shows sports fans holding their noses in disgust, struggling to enjoy the Labor Day weekend match through the pungent unpleasantness.

“The Facilities Team and Guest Services told us they were already aware of the issue, but people were still being allowed to sit in the affected section,” continued the content creator. “We paid to attend the US Open and should not have to sit for hours in an area that smells like human waste. How is this acceptable?”

Representatives for the US Open did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for a comment.

But commenters beneath the trending clip were quick to serve up their two cents on the nauseating scene.

Aryna Sabalenka defeats Kamilla Rakhimova of Uzbekistan in their Women's Singles Third Round match on Sept. 4, 2026, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. Sabalenka called out a fan for smoking weed mid-match during the contest.

“If you can smell it, particles are actually getting in your nose,” wrote an onlooker, whose gross alert was echoed by a separate forewarner, saying, “You’re not only being forced to smell that, you’re breathing in s- -t, and marinating in it.”

“I was in section 310 yesterday. It was so bad! After I complained, guest services moved us for like the last 10 min of the Alcaraz Paul match,” claimed an audience member. “Really disappointing to have to sit through it for so long [but] we spent so much [money] on tickets.”

“We were smelling this during FAN WEEK and reported it. Crazy. Especially when 300-level tickets are still going for [over] $800,” an equally irked onlooker added.

“Full refund,” urged another. “Tell your bank and they’ll reverse the payment.”

Unfortunately, the tennis tournament isn’t the only thing getting grand slammed over the putrid upset.

“Welcome to New York. It’s completely the worst place on earth,” spat a Big Apple troll.

Oliver Viel, an Open-goer whose nostrils were, too, assaulted by the sickening stink, expressed his dissatisfaction in a TikTok post, writing, “POV: You spent $300 to go to the US Open. But it smells like sewage and you can’t watch.”

The repulsed patron went on to describe the odor as “insanely bad,” blaming it on “poor ventilation from the overused bathrooms.”

The reeling ruckus closely trails tennis pro Aryna Sabalenka, 28, pausing her third-round U.S. Open match inside Louis Armstrong Stadium in the first set after smelling weed.

“I was, like, ‘Guys, you can do whatever, you can smoke whatever, you can relax as much as you can, but please, do not do it around the tennis courts,’” she said during a post-match address. “It’s a bit tricky to handle that smell while you’re trying to compete at your best.”
