Katseye star’s future with band hinted at in business records after sudden hiatus

Katseye still has six lives — at least on paper.

Business records obtained by Page Six show Manon Bannerman, who has been on hiatus since February, remains on the books as an official member of the popular girl group.

The document, which was filed on July 17, lists all six singers or their respective managers as the owners of Katseye LLC.

The development, at the very least, confirms Bannerman, 24, has not officially left the group amid ongoing fan speculation that her break was a soft launch for a formal departure.

It’s unclear if or when she will return, but the door is open for a comeback. Page Six reached out to Katseye’s reps for comment.

Bannerman was the first member to step away to focus on her health and wellbeing, with HYBE and Geffen Records alerting fans on Weverse less than two months before the group’s debut performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this past April.

“We fully support this decision,” the labels said at the time. “Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us.

“The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right.”

Bannerman later removed reference to Katseye from her Instagram bio as the group promoted its single, “Pinky Up,” ahead of its April 9 release, further fueling the rumors she would not return.

During her hiatus, Bannerman has issued a few updates, thanking fans for their patience and assuring them she is happy and healthy — but has yet to address a potential return.

Katseye went on to release its third EP, “Wild,” last month, with the five active members featured on the cover art.

Outside of Bannerman’s absence, the group, which was formed on the “Dream Academy” competition show in 2023, most recently lost leader Sophia Laforteza, 23, to a hiatus of her own on Aug. 7.

It was later announced she would not join Katseye for the European leg of the “Wildworld Tour,” after the group pulled out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival when Megan Skiendiel, 20, suffered an ankle injury.

Katseye, which consists of Bannerman, Laforteza, Skiendiel, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini and Yoonchae Jeong, was nominated in two categories at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

The group performed “Gnarly” during the ceremony, marking the last time as a six-member group.
