President Trump’s tax cut and domestic spending law, known as the One Big Beautiful Act, lowered tax rates for many Americans while cutting Medicaid, food assistance and other programs.

Republican lawmakers say the legislation, signed last year, was a win for working families. Democrats counter that the act cut programs for lower-income Americans while enriching the affluent and corporations.
