Will Forte warns of ‘super perverted’ places ticks may hide — and the awkward way he checked

Looking like a luna-tick in the name of health.

With a tick season of biblical proportions underway out on the East Coast, checking for the disease-harboring arachnids is key to preventing dangerous infections, such as Lyme disease.

And Will Forte recently learned a thing or two about proper tick checks before doing an extremely thorough, yet awkward, inspection.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the 56-year-old “Saturday Night Live” alum shared that he’d been given sage advice during a family trip with fellow SNL alum Seth Meyers.

“One of the members of the Meyers family said, ‘You’ve got to make sure you’re checking your B and B too,’” Forte told Fallon.

Realizing “B and B” did not stand for “bed and breakfast,” as one might suspect, the “Coyote vs. Acme” star was informed it stands for balls and butthole.

“Apparently, ticks are these super perverted, sexually deviant insects,” Forte went on to share.

And he’s not wrong, as ticks can easily get into nooks and crannies, especially warm, hidden creases like the groin, underarms, belly button, and behind the knees, according to the US Forest Service.

“That’s where they like to hang out,” Forte added. “To them, it’s like a rave.”

But when he went to perform the invasive check as soon as possible — another key step in checking for ticks — he ran into a problem.

“I’m getting older,” Forte explained. “I don’t stretch as well. My eyesight is bad. I think I need a second set of eyes on this.”

Running through his “limited choices” of who to ask, he debated asking “very close friend” Meyers or his wife, Olivia Modling, settling on his wife.

However, Modling declined the offer, saying, “There’s not a chance in hell,” despite Forte stating he only needed “the base of the balls to the far end of the butthole” checked.

Although he was turned down twice, Forte was determined to check for any venomous parasites, claiming their presence could be medically dangerous, especially as tick-related ER visits have jumped more than 25% nationwide.

Taking matters into his own hands, Forte re-created his hilarious, yet crucial, method of self-inspection for Fallon and the “Tonight Show” audience.

Sliding down in his seat and bending his knees, the comedian ended up with his legs in the air “propped down next to a mirror.”

He even went on to mimic pulling his butt cheeks apart, while the camera panned to “Tonight Show” Musical Director Questlove looking on in concern.

When limited to a self-check, using a mirror is recommended, while conducting a thorough full-body check after coming indoors from tick-infested areas.

Clothing, gear and pets should also be checked before putting any worn items in the wash using hot water and taking a hot shower or bath within two hours of coming inside.

When asked how long he looked for any critters, Forte mentioned he “stared into that abyss for a while” until he felt safe, adding that the process was “a major bummer.”

“To be honest, I’m still not sure that I feel safe,” he added.
