Tour Bus Carrying Popular Rock Band Involved in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident

Things could’ve proved deadly for the rock band Buckcherry. On Friday, August 21st, in South Carolina, they got into a horrifying multi-car crash involving their tour bus. Thankfully, all members of the group walked away unscathed from the incident. However, not everyone was lucky, as the accident did result in one fatality.

“We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed,” the band said in a statement. “Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life… We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support.”

Currently, the plan is for the Anaheim-based band to continue their tour as planned. Their next stop after South Carolina is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There’s no new information that shares how the accident occurred or any further details on who was involved in the horrific car crash.

The tour is in support of Buckcherry’s 11th album Roar Like Thunder, which came out in June 2025. It’s slated to end on September 6th in Orlando, Florida. Then, they’re going to knock out a string of shows in Las Vegas alongside fellow rock band Scorpions. Finally, life on the road comes to a close after Dial Up Festival in Fort Worth, Texas on December 12th.

While their time on the road is slowly coming to an end, apparently, the band already has more material ready to share. In an interview with Mark Strigl, frontman Josh Todd teased that he was going to record as soon as he finished his conversation.

Actually, as soon as I get off here, I’m gonna record an idea that I’ve been thinking of. God, Stevie and I have written, like, seven songs already for the new record,” the Buckcherry singer said. “And this is just us working out a little bit before we hook up with Marti Frederiksen. Because once we get with Marti, we write very fast. I told Marti, I go, ‘Let’s just make a BUCKCHERRY record in two weeks,’ ’cause we can. And it’s great. We write very fast and efficiently.

Then, he shared the process how seamless the process is when working with producer and songwriter Marti Frederiksen. “Roar Like Thunder came out last year, and we tour two years on a record. So what we do on the second year of a record cycle is we start accumulating demos and ideas, and then by the end of the year, we’ll go in with Marti, we’ll do the songwriting and we’ll record a new record and drop it sometime next year,” Todd of Buckcherry continued.
