Benny Blanco ate nothing but pizza for five days straight in an attempt to prove you can lose weight “eating literally anything” — and he did shed some pounds.
The music producer, 38, posted a TikTok video Thursday documenting himself eating only a large thin crust pizza from Domino’s a day.
At the beginning of the video, he steps on a scale and shows that he weighs 152.2 pounds. He’s clearly dedicated to the experiment, as he shows footage throughout the week of him eating only his meal of choice.
At one point he shows himself on a date night with wife Selena Gomez at celeb hot spot Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles. He brought the pizza to their upscale dinner while she enjoyed the delicious food.
At one point in the footage, the “Hands to Myself” singer is seen kissing Blanco’s neck.
By day three, he miserably admits he’s tired of pizza, declaring, “I hate my life.”
“I don’t even remember myself as a human being,” he said on day five. “Like, what was life before pizza?”
But, by then, he insists that he feels “f–king good.”
At the end of the experiment, he gets back on the scale and weighs 147.5 pounds.
“I just lost 4.7 pounds eating pizza. Nothing matters, do whatever you want,” he says before promoting his upcoming book, “F–k Failure.”
According to its publisher Simon & Schuster, Blanco’s book — out Sept. 15 — teaches readers how to achieve their dreams by making the most out of failure.
“You want success? You gotta fail better,” Blanco says. “I fail constantly — small everyday failures and massive failures that last for years. I’ve learned a few tricks along the way, and all of them have to do with turning f–king up into an artform.”
“My superpower as a producer is helping people tap into the success that’s already inside of them,” he adds.
Meanwhile, Blanco has always been passionate about food. He released his cookbook, “Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends,” in April 2024.
Back in May, he exposed Gomez’s “diet of a 5-year-old”while speaking with Gwyneth Paltrow for her “Goop” podcast.
“This morning I walked in and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning,” the hitmaker said, identifying his wife’s two favorites as “burgers and fries.”
He also noted that the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star, 34, mainly prefers “whatever is bad for your diet,” and “doesn’t really like fruits or vegetables.”
