Lindsay Clancy’s sobs heard in courtroom as medical examiner describes autopsy of her baby

Lindsay Clancy audibly wept as a medical examiner testified about the autopsy she performed on the Massachusetts mother’s 8-month-old baby boy.

Dr. Kimberly Springer was questioned for roughly 20 minutes about examining Clancy’s youngest son Callan as the mom – wearing a light brown long-sleeved blouse – sobbed through nearly the entire testimony before Judge William Sullivan called a recess around 9:45 a.m.

The judge initially told the jury in the morning that the first break would come around 11 a.m.

Clancy is accused of strangling her three kids with exercise bands at her Duxbury home before slitting her wrists and neck and throwing herself out of a second-story window on Jan. 24, 2023.

She is now partially paralyzed and appears in court in a wheelchair.

Springer and the jury were shown photos from Callan’s autopsy while the ME explained the baby’s injuries and cause of death. Sullivan previously ruled those images will not be made public.

Callan had “abrasions” on his neck and on his head, the doctor explained.

He also had puncture wounds from where the hospital had inserted and attempted to insert intravenous fluids.

Doctors were able to restart Callan’s heart, and he was kept alive on life support for three days until it was determined that he was brain dead, according to testimony.
