GOP candidate scrubs son-in-law from campaign as his neo-Nazi activities uncovered

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) has quietly scrubbed references to his son-in-law from his campaign website, as news outlets have picked up his white nationalist and neo-Nazi tendencies.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Greg Bluestein, Collins, who is challenging Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in November, “has removed from its website a picture of his family that includes his son-in-law,” David Alan Scheer II.

Scheer has some history with Collins that goes beyond being married to his daughter; he appears to have helped the congressman with his trucking business in the past, and is even registered to vote at a house Collins owns.

He also, according to CNN’s KFILE, is a social media influencer who has aggressively pushed white nationalist and antisemitic content. Scheer has promoted Patriot Front, the white supremacist group that descended on the Capitol earlier this month.

He has also proclaimed America can only be saved by “clearing our land of other people,” claimed deceased child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was an Israeli secret agent, and blamed Jews for “porn,” “killing JFK,” the 9/11 attacks, and the murder of far-right Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. He even blamed European Jews for bringing on the Holocaust in one video, saying, “Sixty million Christians that were killed by Jewish Bolsheviks in the early 1900s right before World War II.”

Collins has often found himself in trouble for pushing racist content himself; two years ago, he approvingly shared a video of Ole Miss students taunting a Black protester with monkey noises.

Ossoff, one of Democrats’ frontline candidates in the fall, hit out at Collins amid Scheer’s disappearance from his site.

“After scrubbing his website, Mike Collins still refuses to answer whether he has been paying this neo-Nazi propagandist personally or through his business, campaign, or office, just as he refuses to apologize for his office’s ties to prominent white supremacists,” Ossoff said in a statement.
