The nominees for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, recognizing the best of television, were announced on Wednesday. Series that aired most of their episodes between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, are eligible.

The HBO Max medical drama “The Pitt” led all series this year with 25 nominations. “Hacks” (24 nominations, the most ever in a single year for a comedy), “Widow’s Bay” (19) and “Pluribus” (18) also did well this year. Netflix’s dark comedy “Beef” led the pack in the limited or anthology series categories with 16 nominations for its second season, with the stars Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac and Charles Melton all being recognized.
