Nominees for the 2026 Emmy Awards were announced on Wednesday morning.
“Widow’s Bay,” the new horror-comedy series from Apple TV, earned 19 nominations, including for best comedy. Also in the comedy categories, HBO Max’s Emmys darling “Hacks” picked up 24 nods for its final season. And the Emmys mainstay “Abbott Elementary,” on ABC, nabbed six.
For drama, last year’s surprise favorite, HBO Max’s “The Pitt,” scored 25 Emmy nominations for its second season — the most of any series and almost twice what it earned for its first season.
“Dancing With the Stars” earned its first nomination in 10 years, and Bravo’s buzzy reality show “Summer House” landed its first nomination.
The awards ceremony is planned for Sept. 14. Mariska Hargitay will host from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. NBC will broadcast the ceremony live, and Peacock will stream it.
